The Landuse and
Land Cover Component is planning the following
activities:

Helicopter Flyover of the Louisiana Wetlands, from
Lake Charles, LA to New Orleans, LA, September 2005.
A DVD will be produced for distribution.

Boat
Tour. The latter will be carried-out to collect GPS
points in parts of the Louisiana Wetlands, and
simultaneous filming of selected areas will be
undertaken. This research will be done in September
or October 2005, pending weather developments.

Coastal
Erosion Conference at Southern University. A joint
conference will be held at Southern University in
late 2006. The conference will be funded by a grant
received from the USDA.

A book
related to the Louisiana Coastal Wetlands will be
written by the end of 2007
