The conference program and the proceedings will be published and distributed both electronically via the conference website and hard copies. 2000 copies will be produced and made available free of charge. The Southern University System Technology Transfer Office, Publication Office, and the SU President's office will assist in the website establishment, and distribution of the hard copies. LSU AgCenter Communications will help communicate the information presented at the conference. LSU AgCenter Communications will serve as a multiplier of this information and see that it reaches far beyond the time and place of the conference. LSU AgCenter Communications will also provide press releases and promote coverage by the media. USDA-Forest Service Civil Right Unit, USDA-Forest Service publication distribution offices, and all collaborating agencies and organizations will also assist in distribution. It will also be made available to public upon request. Copies of the conference results/proceedings will be sent to all conference participants and urban forestry organizations throughout the nation, and will be distributed at future urban forestry workshops and conferences. Targeted audiences are minority, under/represented, and underserved communities; urban foresters, urban forestry program personnel, teachers, state foresters, arborists, university and high school students; professors, scientists, teachers, policy makers, private and public land owners, etc. |
